Park Rules
Welcome to BELANTIS – Das AbenteuerReich: A day to discover, marvel, pure action or simply to enjoy awaits you.
Despite all the fun, we still ask you not to neglect the usual consideration and caution.
Above all, this means showing responsibility for oneself and for others and not ignoring the rules of politeness.
In addition, we ask you to carefully observe the following rules, our park rules, which you undertake to comply with by entering BELANTIS.
In the following, "park operator" or "park management" or "we" or "us" means EVENT PARK GmbH, Zur Weißen Mark 1, 04249 Leipzig, Germany.
If you have any doubts, comments or questions, please contact our guest support at online@BELANTIS.de.
1.) Guest Responsibility
While we comply with all applicable regulations, we expect and appreciate that guests exercise good judgment and act responsibly to protect their own health and safety (and that of those in their care). You are required to act responsibly not only with regard to your own health and safety, but also with regard to the health and safety of those around you.
Guests must READ AND COMPLY WITH all rules, recommendations, and warnings, and must use all recreational facilities and equipment, as well as any provided safety equipment, properly. Guests who fail to do so may be asked to leave the park without any refund of their admission ticket.
Please observe the specific guidelines posted at the entrance of each attraction.
Every guest in our park is expected to behave in a civil and considerate manner toward other guests and park staff. Please treat park facilities, visitors, staff, flora, and fauna with respect..
2.) Terms of Use for Rides and Attractions
WARNING! Assess your physical and mental abilities BEFORE you “just give it a try.”
Rides and other attractions in the park can create wonderful memories and exciting fun for our guests. However, amusement rides and water rides can also be adrenaline-filled activities that place significant physical and sensory demands on the body due to rapid acceleration, speed, sudden and unpredictable movements that may move the body in various directions (e.g., affecting the neck and back), and may increase heart rate and blood pressure.
DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY RIDE, ACTIVITY, OR ATTRACTION IF YOU ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS (WHETHER LEGAL MEDICATION OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES, INCLUDING CANNABIS), OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCES THAT MAY IMPAIR YOUR HEALTH, SENSES, MENTAL ALERTNESS, REFLEXES, AND/OR COORDINATION.
DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN RIDES, ACTIVITIES, OR ATTRACTIONS IF YOU HAVE OR HAVE HAD ANY MEDICAL CONDITIONS, PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS, OR INJURIES, OR IF YOU FEEL ANXIOUS ABOUT PARTICIPATING, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HEART, NERVOUS SYSTEM, MUSCLE, BACK, NECK, BONE, JOINT, TENDON, LIGAMENT, BRAIN, EYE, EAR, NEUROLOGICAL, OR OTHER CONDITIONS OR INJURIES; OR IF YOU ARE PREGNANT (OR MAY BE PREGNANT); OR IF YOU HAVE UNDERGONE SURGERY IN RECENT MONTHS; OR IF YOU ARE STILL RECOVERING FROM AN ILLNESS, DISABILITY, MEDICAL CONDITION, TREATMENT, OR OTHER MEDICAL PROCEDURE.
ONLY YOU CAN DETERMINE whether you are physically and mentally fit enough to safely participate in a ride or other activity within the park.
Please ensure that you and those in your care meet all posted height, weight, and age restrictions. The park does not guarantee your health or safety—you must decide for yourself whether you are suitable to participate in any ride or activity. Ride operators are authorized, for your own safety and health protection, to exclude individual guests (e.g., due to height, body size, physical condition, or mental limitations) from using specific facilities without compensation or refund. Exclusion for safety reasons does not constitute discrimination, but serves solely to protect your safety.
Please remember that you assume all risks associated with any activity you choose to participate in. If you have any questions, our staff will be happy to assist you.
3.) General Operating Rules
A) Rules and Conditions for Admission and Use
Children under the age of 12 may only visit the amusement park when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.
No compensation or refund will be granted in the event of ride or show closures, breakdowns, or delayed openings.
Dogs are permitted provided they are kept on a leash at all times. In the interest of all park visitors, dog owners must carry a hygiene kit. Kits are available at the ticket shop if needed. Dogs must be supervised at all times. Dogs are not permitted in shows or on rides or attractions. Dangerous dogs as defined by the Saxon Act for the Protection of the Public from Dangerous Dogs are not permitted in the park out of consideration for other visitors (e.g. American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier).
Other pets or animals are not permitted in the park. Please do not leave animals unattended in your vehicle.
Your right of admission to the park expires once you leave the premises. If you wish to leave the park temporarily, you must inform our staff before exiting and obtain proper identification (e.g. a hand stamp or another identification method designated by the park) in order to re-enter. Re-entry on the same day is only permitted with this identification.
Admission to the park may be refused to persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including cannabis).
Advertising, as well as the offering of goods or services, is not permitted on park premises, parking areas, or areas in front of the entrances without prior written permission from BELANTIS management. This also applies to conducting surveys or counts.
The terraces located throughout the park are reserved exclusively for guests who have purchased food from one of the park’s food outlets. Guests are welcome to consume food brought from outside in the designated picnic areas and at tables and benches provided for park visitors.
Please inform yourself in advance about operational changes and closed areas of the park, as no refunds will be granted in such cases.
As a family-oriented amusement park, the well-being of our younger guests is especially important to us. For this reason, designated smoking areas are provided. Please smoke only in these areas. Smoking is prohibited outside the designated smoking areas, including the use of e-cigarettes. All smoking areas are indicated on the park map.
B) Safety Regulations
The use of our rides requires the wearing of sturdy footwear and durable clothing at all times. Some attractions operate with water (see section Liability and Limitation of Liability).
Smoking is prohibited inside buildings and, in particular, on rides and in children’s areas of the park. The same applies to waiting areas and restaurants. Fire safety regulations on park premises must be strictly observed. Open fires, the ignition of fireworks of any kind, and barbecuing are strictly prohibited throughout the entire park.
Visitors may only use designated walkways and paths intended for guests.
The possession or carrying of weapons or dangerous objects (including firearms, knives, chains, brass knuckles, etc.) is prohibited on park premises.
The use of remote-controlled aircraft and drones is not permitted within the park.
For safety reasons, the use of film or video cameras, including GoPros, as well as selfie sticks, is not permitted while using rides. This also applies to mobile phones and smartphones with camera functions and comparable devices.
Instructions given by park staff, particularly regarding the use of individual rides, must be followed at all times in your own interest.
For their own safety and the safety of their unborn child, pregnant women are advised not to use the rides.
It is prohibited to deliberately cause noise or to operate portable radios, cassette players, or similar devices.
Bringing your own alcoholic beverages into the park is not permitted. Persons who are visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs (including cannabis) will be excluded from using rides and may be removed from the park without compensation. The park operator reserves the right to refuse admission (see Right of Refusal of Admission and Consequences of Rule Violations).
For the safety of all park guests, skateboarding, rollerblading, and the use of scooters of any kind, bicycles, skates, and pedelecs are not permitted on park premises.
Swimming or bathing in artificial or landscaped bodies of water is not permitted.
For safety reasons and to ensure compliance with the above safety standards, the park reserves the right to allow properly authorized personnel to inspect backpacks, handbags, bags, or similar items, under the circumstances and within the limits permitted by law.
C) Ticket and Voucher Rules
The BELANTIS park premises may only be entered through the designated visitor entrances with a valid admission ticket. Admission tickets must be carried at all times during the visit and presented upon request. Children and adolescents under the age of 12 may only enter the park when accompanied by an adult.
An admission ticket for BELANTIS entitles the holder to free and unlimited use of all BELANTIS attractions during the park’s opening hours, in accordance with the applicable rules of use for each attraction, except for attractions that may be temporarily closed. The admission ticket does not include fees for coin-operated attractions, skill games, or attractions that normally require an additional charge.
If individual attractions are unavailable due to maintenance or repair work or due to force majeure (e.g. strong winds, limited visibility, thunderstorms, COVID-19), the visitor is not entitled to a full or partial refund of the admission price. The same applies if new attractions have not yet been completed or if individual attractions must be modified or refurbished.
If your ticket includes a complimentary guest (e.g. a guide for a guest with disabilities or one free person per 10 school or kindergarten children), the complimentary guest must enter the park at the same time as the ticket holder and upon their first entry into the park.
D) Use of Facilities and Attractions & Courtesy Rules
· For safety and courtesy, wearing clothing and shoes is required throughout the park. BELANTIS facilities are provided in accordance with the respective rules of use. These special rules of use and safety instructions, which are displayed in text or pictorial form outside each facility, must be read and strictly observed by all users before using the respective facility. In addition, the specific instructions of the operating staff must be followed at all times.
· Certain rides have specific requirements regarding minimum height, required age, and physical condition. These rules are mandated by the authorities and TÜV and also apply to guests with disabilities and pregnant visitors. Please note that guests with disabilities who meet these basic requirements, as well as their accompanying persons, must independently decide whether the attraction is suitable for them individually. Further information is available on the park’s website: [https://www.belantis.de/besuch-planen/attraktionen-shows/attraktionen]. Height is measured with shoes on.
· To avoid disadvantaging other waiting guests, it is required to leave an attraction after use and re-enter at the entrance if you wish to ride again.
· If you knowingly ignore the operating instructions or staff directions, the park staff may exclude you from using the attractions without any entitlement to compensation. The same applies if you attempt to cut in line.
· You are liable for all damages resulting from negligent or intentional violations of the rules of use or caused by culpable (intentional or negligent) actions.
E) Right of Refusal of Admission and Consequences of Rule Violations
The park management reserves the right to require persons who violate park rules or are found on park premises without a valid admission ticket to leave the park without compensation and, if necessary, to issue a (potentially indefinite) ban from the park.
Anyone who harasses other guests, uses facilities in violation of the applicable rules of use, or fails to follow the instructions of park staff may be forced to leave the park. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund of the admission fee, either in full or in part.
In particular, the park management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or remove from, its facilities anyone who violates the following rules:
· Misuse of admission tickets or vouchers.
· Vandalism or any other negligent or intentional damage to park facilities or the personal property of park employees.
· Behavior that harasses other visitors or seriously interferes with their enjoyment of the park.
· Leaving minors unsupervised, especially if they exhibit any of the behaviors described in the preceding sections.
· Consuming, selling, or distributing drugs (including cannabis) or narcotics within park premises. Violators will be immediately removed from the park and reported to the authorities.
F) Parking
· The parking lots are not operated by BELANTIS but are provided for and on behalf of the Zweckverband Planung und Erschließung Neue Harth. The applicable parking regulations of the Zweckverband apply.
G) Filming and Photography
· Filming and photography at BELANTIS is permitted for private use in accordance with the German Copyright Act (KunstUrhG), meaning that the consent of the person being filmed or photographed may be required. Any distribution of photos or videos, or use of ideas and show sequences for commercial purposes, requires prior written approval from BELANTIS management.
· For safety reasons, taking photos or videos for private purposes may be temporarily prohibited.
· On selected rides (Huracan, Drachenritt, Fluch des Pharao, Cobra des Amun Ra), souvenir photos are taken during the ride, which can be purchased.
· BELANTIS may occasionally record photos or videos of the park or its visitors, either by the park operator or third parties. Wherever possible, these areas and attractions are marked. Please avoid these areas if you do not want any footage or images of you to be publicly used or broadcast via webcam on the Internet. Alternatively, you may inform the photographer or filming team. If you do not do so, it will be assumed that you grant permission for such use free of charge.
· For safety reasons, our attractions and park are monitored by cameras and video surveillance (CCTV).
· If you have any doubts, comments, or questions, please contact our Guest Support at online@BELANTIS.de or +49 341 9103-3333, or our Data Protection Officer at datenschutz@BELANTIS.de.
H) Liability and Limitation of Liability
We are only liable for damages resulting from the intentional or grossly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation by the legal representatives or vicarious agents of EVENT PARK GmbH (the park operator). If a material contractual obligation is breached without gross negligence or intent, we are not liable for unforeseeable or atypical damages.
We assume no liability in the following situations or for the following damages:
Some of our rides may result in guests getting completely wet and/or carried items being damaged. For this reason, we ask that you do not bring items that could suffer water damage or other harm (e.g., cameras, video cameras, etc.). Clothing damaged or rendered unusable by water, as well as cameras, video cameras, or similar items, cannot be compensated.
We are not liable for lost items, especially items lost or damaged during the use of a ride. It is not possible to stop or interrupt rides to retrieve lost items.
We are not liable for items left on rides.
Our liability for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected by the limitations described in this section.
I) Reporting of Damages
· All park facilities are carefully maintained and monitored. If you suffer any damage (including property, personal, or other damage) without your own sole fault, you must report the damage to Guest Services or, in the case of personal injury, to our First Aid Station before leaving the park. You should also report any incident if there is reason to believe that it may cause damage at a later time.
· Any claim for compensation is excluded if a possible and reasonable report of damage is made only after leaving the park by the person concerned.
J) Supervision
We remind all parents and group supervisors to fulfill their duty of supervision carefully, as we cannot assume responsibility for it. In the event of a breach of this duty, supervisors and parents are fully responsible for any resulting damages in accordance with applicable law.
K) Theft
In the event of theft in the park, park staff will notify the police and/or the security service immediately.
L) Resale of Admission Tickets / Season Passes – Contractual Penalty
To prevent the resale of admission tickets (including discount coupons, annual passes, season passes, free tickets, and vouchers of any kind for food and beverages) and the misuse of season passes, the purchaser is prohibited from:
· Selling admission tickets for a price higher than the price paid by the purchaser. This applies also in the context of private transfers;
· Selling admission tickets commercially or for business purposes without the prior explicit written consent of the park operator;
· Using admission tickets in sweepstakes, travel or hospitality offers, or publicly for advertising or marketing purposes without the prior written consent of the park operator;
· Offering admission tickets for sale on internet auction sites or other online platforms, either personally or through third parties;
· Transferring admission tickets without expressly referencing these park rules, in particular this section, even if such transfer is otherwise not prohibited under this section;
· Transferring season passes to third parties or culpably enabling third parties to misuse season passes in any other way.
The park operator is entitled to claim a contractual penalty of €100 per violation from any person who transfers and/or offers admission tickets and/or season passes in culpable violation of these provisions. The number of violations is determined by the number of tickets and/or season passes offered, sold, transferred, or used.
In the event of a violation of the above prohibitions, the admission tickets and season passes lose their validity and no longer entitle the holder to enter BELANTIS. In addition, the park operator reserves the right to refuse the purchase of admission tickets and season passes in the future to persons who have violated these prohibitions and/or to initiate further civil and/or criminal proceedings.
If you have any doubts, comments or questions, please contact our guest support at online@BELANTIS.de or 0341 / 9103-3333.
And now we wish you a carefree, unforgettably beautiful day and lots of fun at BELANTIS!
